
Barbers and Cosmetologists - License Qualifications - Domestic Violence Awareness Training
Beauty Without Fear: Ending Domestic Violence is a one-hour domestic violence awareness training available in person or virtually to fit your schedule. This interactive training teaches participants how to recognize the signs of domestic violence, understand the different types of abuse, identify warning signs in clients, and respond with confidence and compassion. Participants will learn how to safely handle difficult situations, have supportive conversations, and connect individuals with appropriate resources. The training fee is $25 per participant. Participants who successfully complete the post-training evaluation and assessment will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Learn From Us
The Center for Abused Persons (CAP) offers a one-hour training called Beauty Without Fear: Ending Domestic Violence Training. This training helps beauty professionals learn how to recognize the signs of domestic violence and respond in a safe and supportive way. Participants will learn to identify physical, emotional, and behavioral indicators of abuse and understand how to provide support while maintaining professional boundaries. The training is available in person or via Zoom for convenience. At the end of the training, participants must complete a brief evaluation to receive their certificate of completion.
The Center for Abused Persons (CAP) has been active throughout Charles County, leading presentations and participating in panel discussions to educate the community. These efforts focus on promoting healthy relationships, understanding the effects of intimate partner violence, and raising awareness about sexual consent.
